Project Basejump

The Google earth import is no more with AutoCAD Civil 3D 2013. But if you deals with a Raster Imaginary then it is very essential to import a Raster Image.

Autodesk Labs released a new add in called a Project Basejump.

With Project Basejump, AutoCAD Map 3D and AutoCAD Civil 3D software users can access Microsoft Bing data including aerial imagery, road, traffic, and other information within an AutoCAD environment.

You can download it from Autodesk Labs. Click below link to download.

RAM Elements Loadbearing Masonry 3D Software eSeminar

The National Concrete Masonry Association, the International Masonry Institute, Ryan Biggs Associates and Bentley Systems have teamed up to develop a new, innovative structural software program to efficiently perform a whole building analysis of load bearing masonry buildings. The software uses a whole building approach – not just the analysis of individual components. Learn how this approach leads to easier and faster engineering design of masonry buildings including irregular configurations, wall openings, perforated shear-walls, multi-story structures and structural infill panels in structural steel frames and more.

Webinar Contents :

  • Loadbearing masonry engineering design criteria and methods.
  • Options for using this innovative software for loadbearing masonry structures.
  • Demonstration of our industry leading software technology using RAM Elements for loadbearing masonry buildings of virtually any height
Speakers:

Dennis W. Graber, PE, is Director of Technical Publications for the National Concrete Masonry Association and is a registered professional engineer in Florida. He is a Fellow of the American Concrete Institute (ACI), a member of The Masonry Society (TMS), and a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and is active in committees of all three organizations.

Diane B. Throop, PE, is the Director of Engineering services for the International Masonry Institute. She has more than 30 years' experience in engineering and construction, mostly in masonry. She is Chair of the Masonry Standards Joint Committee (TMS 402/ACI 530/ASCE 5) and former chair of ASTM Committee C15. She has a BSCE and an MBA from the University of Toledo and is a registered engineer in Ohio and Michigan.

Ann Marie Garko-Hill, PE is a Structural Engineering Consultant at Bentley Systems, Inc. focusing on training for Bentley’s structural products. Ann Marie is a past president of the Structural Engineering Association of Michigan.

eTransmit for Revit

eTransmit for Revit is a technology preview of an add-in application for Autodesk Revit Architecture 2012, Autodesk Revit Structure 2012, and Autodesk Revit MEP 2012 software.

For best results, installing Revit 2012 Web Update 1 is recommended.

With e Transmit for Revit, you can:

  • Copy and detach a Revit model and associated files to a single folder for internet transmission. This removes the typical error messages when you copy central files using the operating system.
  • Locate dependent files automatically and include them in the transmittal folder, reducing the possibility of error. All dependent files are automatically converted to use relative paths to ensure that the dependent files can be located by the model.
  • Choose to include related dependent files such as linked Revit models, CAD files, DWF markups, decal images, and external keynote files. You can transmit any Revit (.rvt) model that has been upgraded to Revit Release 2012.
  • Transmit models that are using file-based worksharing or server-based worksharing. eTransmit for Revit will also work with non-workshared Revit models.

Common uses for eTransmit

  • Internal archiving
  • Sending deliverables to clients
  • Model exchange between consultants/partners
  • Model cleanup
  • Sharing models between disciplines
